**TOURIST VISA: Tourist cards are available upon arrival at the airport or from any airlines that services Vene-zuela. They are valid for 90 days, no extensions allowed.

••General Information:

The Consular Section of the Venezuelan Embassy in Washington D.C. will process all visas applications submitted by residents of its jurisdiction (Kentucky, Ohio, Maryland, Virginia, Washington D.C., West Virginia and the Bahamas). Residents of other jurisdictions call WPVS for more information.

Passport

Please send WPVS your current valid and signed passport. U.S. passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least one blank visa page.

Photo

Please send One recent professional passport-type photograph.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

Proof of Departure

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

Business Letter

A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Embassy of Venezuela, Visa Section, Washington DC
The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed
Name and address of reference to be visited
This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit
The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

Invitation Letter

Letter of invitation from your host/sponsor in Venezuela.

Vaccinations

Vaccinations - International Certificate of Vaccination for Yellow Fever required. Copy of the certificate is acceptable.

You must complete the Online Order Form.

The order form gives WPVS your name, address, shipping information and payment method. Multiple applicants can be entered using one order form. You only need to complete one WPVS order form per request. Please print two copies of the confirmation page. Include one copy with the documents you ship to WPVS and keep one copy for your records. While completing the online order form in this step, you will be asked how you want to pay WPVS fees. You may pay our fees online with a credit card.

Register with U.S. Embassy

Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)

By connecting on the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, State Department will be able to assist you better in the case of an emergency, such as if you lose your passport or it is stolen while you are abroad.

A valid passport and a visa or tourist card are required. Tourist cards are issued on flights from the U.S. to Venezuela for persons staying less than ninety days. Persons traveling for reasons other than tourism required a visa.
