REQUIREMENTS FOR U.S. CITIZENS

THE REPUBLIC OF CONGO

TOURIST VISA

Passport

Please send WPVS your current valid and signed passport. U.S passport must be valid 6 months beyond intended stay and must have at least one blank visa page.

Photo

Please send Two recent professional passport-type photograph.
Digital and non-passport photographs are not acceptable.

Proof of Departure

Please send a copy of your round trip airline tickets, or itinerary or e-ticket, or letter of confirmation from a travel agent. The itinerary must show the applicant's name, date of arrival and departure from the country, and flight information. The Embassy does not recommend purchasing your ticket prior to a visa being issued.

Invitation Letter

Letter of Invitation must be typewritten and notarized in the Republic of Congo, stating the nature of the trip, the name and address of a reference to be visited in the Republic of Congo. This letter must be addressed to the Embassy of the Republic of Congo, Visa Section.

Business Letter

A business letter of responsibility is required, to be typewritten on your company letterhead and addressed to:
Embassy of The Republic of Congo, Visa Section, Washington DC
The letter must explain all of the following:
Nature of business to be performed
Name and address of reference to be visited
This letter should request Multiple Entries visa if required
Guarantee of return transportation and sufficient funds for the visit
The letter should be signed by an officer of the company other than the applicant.

Invitation Letter

Letter of invitation on letterhead from a host company or organization in the Republic of Congo.

You must complete the Online Order Form.

The order form gives WPVS your name, address, shipping information and payment method. Multiple applicants can be entered using one order form. You only need to complete one WPVS order form per request. Please print two copies of the confirmation page. Include one copy with the documents you ship to WPVS and keep one copy for your records. While completing the online order form in this step, you will be asked how you want to pay WPVS fees. You may pay our fees online with a credit card.

Smart Traveler Enrollment Program (STEP)

By connecting on the Smart Traveler Enrollment Program, State Department will be able to assist you better in the case of an emergency, such as if you lose your passport or it is stolen while you are abroad.

A passport, visa and evidence of yellow fever vaccination are required for entry.
